A normal street pad would disintegrate under this extreme heat, which is why Race specific pads have been built. However, most race specific brake pads wont operate in the cooler heat range that replacement brake pads operate in. Heat must be maintained for the brakes to perform. That's why we recommend street/performance brake pads for cars that are daily driven as well as raced.
